Occasionally when reading a DataTrace data logger, interference from a number of sources can temporarily interrupt communication between the logger and the interface. Though a rare incident, there are some things a user can easily do to reestablish communication that will not affect data collection or storage.
If the logger that you’re reading through DataTrace (DT) Pro Software is not immediately communicating with the interface, try these tips, 1 by 1 in this order until communication is restored:
- Rotate the logger in the interface and retest.
- Close DT Pro Software, unplug USB reattach USB cable and retest.
- Try a different USB port on the computer.
- Reboot the computer.
- Open battery chamber and replace battery. Don’t forget to replace the O-ring.
If none of these work for you, the next best step would be to contact Mesa for repairs. To complete an RGA form for repair submission, click here. To learn more about DataTrace, visit our website at www.mesalabs.com.
